Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best paint to use for schoolyard stenciling?
Masonry paint (also called elastomeric paint) is the perfect choice for concrete painting, particularly for schoolyard stenciling. It contains special binders that contract and expand with the concrete (concrete is affected by temperature changes). Oil-based paint is usually not ideal for stenciling.
How do you stencil a schoolyard?
We recommend applying a primer base coat on the concrete floor or surface. Two coats of primer are recommended for best results. Allow each coat of primer to dry for at least two hours. Next, apply the paint using two coats, similar to the primer. Lastly, apply multiple coats of sealant across the surface to protect the paint.
